These applications include injection moulding of tool handles, combs, hair ornaments, spectacle frames, stationery items etc and extrusion of sheet for the manufacture of spectacle frames, ski masks etc.
Interplex manufactures Cellulose Acetate Granules to very rigid specification, using standard high quality sources of Cellulose Acetate. All grades of Interplex Cellulose Acetate Granules have exceptional long-term heat and processing stability and the optimal transparency and gloss, giving the customer the best price-performance ratio.
Interplex manufactures Cellulose Acetate Granules in the following general grades
IG GRADEÂ : suitable for injection moulding
EP GRADE: suitable for extrusion processing
IG GRADE
IG Grade is formulated for use in general injection moulding applications and has superior processing and long term stability. It can be easily processed on any type of injection machine. IG Grade is available ex-stock in a standard range of colours in MS flow grade. Interplex can offer IG Grade in flows from H2 to S on request and can match colours to customer’s requirements
Â
EP Grade is an extrusion grade with exceptional transparency and gloss to get the best extruded surface and finish in the extruded sheet. EP Grade has exceptional processing stability for good extrusion as well as long-term stability. Interplex can offer EP Grade in flows from H2 to M, suitable for optical grade extrusion.
