The number of hairpin-shaped elements varies according to wattage and size of flangeL, Incoloy for immersion in materials corrosive to copper and stainless steel and high heat environments (to1600o F), Stainless Steel for environments corrosive to copper (1200oF), Copper for water heating and Liquids not corrosive to copper (to 350o F).
