Indian Non Basmati Raw Rice

Any Rice other than the Indian Basmati Rice is called Indian Non Basmati Raw Rice. In the world it has been reported that there are 10,000 varieties of rice, the maximum numbers being in India. Indian Non Basmati Raw Rice comes in all kinds of different shapes & sizes. Some are long, thin and slender, some are short & thick, some are like beads and some may be round. Brand name - VINVELEX.
None have the same characteristics as Indian Basmati Rice i.e. they do not have both the aroma & post cooking elongation. Only some of the long slender rice is shaped like Indian Basmati Rice and may not have either the aroma or the elongation but not both. • Sona Masoori is also known as Sona Masuri, Samba Masuri, BPT 5204, HMT and Jeela Kara Masuri and largely grown in Indian States of Telengana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
