pu piston seals
nov® piston u-cups are single acting polyurethane (pu) piston seals available in a wide range of sizes. nov® u-cups are assembled into closed grooves and mainly used in light duty cylinder applications for mobile equipment.
material : polyurethane, hardness 93° shore a
properties :
high resistance to abrasion, easy installation.
application :
mobile hydraulics, injection molding machines, machine tools, agricultural equipment, standard cylinders.
general technical data :
temperature range: -30 to 110°c
working pressure up to 320 bar
surface speed 0.5 m/s.
maximum working pressure can be extended up to 400 bar with the use of a back up ring.
gap dimension :
the largest gap dimension appearing in operation on the non-pressurized side of the seal is decisive for
sealing function. Figures show the maximum permissible gap all on one side using the minimum clearance ø and ma x bore ø.
