Hulled sesame seeds which are widely used in bakery and confectionery industry are derived by removing the outer skin of natural seeds through the process called hulling.
It has two types depending upon its drying process - Auto dried and Sun dried. Developed countries prefer auto while developing nations buy sun dried which is more reasonable.
Sesame plant is an annual plant, whose seeds as well as leaves can be eaten and used. Sesame seed is commonly referred to as 'til' in India, and is used in various forms, even in making of vines and beverages and sweet dishes, especially during winters.
