Botanical Name: Melaleuca teretifolia Main Constituents: Neral: 28.9% Geranial: 38% Plant Part: Wood Origin: Australia Processing Method: Steam Distilled Description / Color / Consistency: A thin, pale yellow liquid. Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A top note with a medium aroma, it has a mellow, deep lemon scent with a soft touch of sweet wood and camphor. Blends With: Camphoraceous, citrusy and herbal scents, including Citronella, Lemongrass, Lavender, Melissa and Sweet Basil. Product Abstract: Melaleuca teretifolia is grown in the southwest of Australia, and is a small to medium shrub from 1 to 3 metres tall. The linear leaves are rounded, 40-60 mm long and taper to a sharp point. The flowers occur in globular-shaped clusters about 20 mm in diameter, usually borne on the older branches. It can be used as an air deodorizer and a car freshener, and used for its citrusy scent without the photosensitizing dangers of most citrus oils. Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided. Notice: This item is listed under California Proposition 65.
