HINGE GREASES
COMPOSITION
Hinge greases are composed of semi-synthetic oils and solid lubricants.
FEATURES
Hinge greases are generally stiff, tacky, non-drying and non-evaporating, highly viscous gels, which are designed to damp free motion of the hinge to which it is applied.
DESCRIPTION
Ordinary lubricants have the property of reducing friction between the surfaces on which it is applied, where as hinge grease create more friction and make motion more smooth and restricted. This smooth yet restricted or damped motion is free from play and produces a hydraulic feel.

APPLICATIONS
Due to this unique property, hinge greases find application in the assembly of all types Brass hinges, Stainless Steel hinges and M.S hinges where damping of free motion is required. It gives a smooth and easy motion to hinges.
SHELF LIFE
These greases do not exhibit any significant changes in properties if stored properly in original packs for over two years. Slight hardening of some grades is considered normal and is reversible by agitation. However, warranty claims, in case of manufacturing defects is limited to one year from date of manufacturing.
