c-98 en-44 d high carbon spring steel (annealed form)
chemical composition of c-98 grade (as per is:2507) -
carbon - 0.90 to 1.04 %
manganese - 0.30 to 0.50 %
silicon - 0.10 - 0.35 %
sulphur - 0.04 % (max)
phosphorus - 0.04 % (max)
specifications -
hardness -
generally material in this grade is stocked in fully annealed form with a hardness of 180 - 200 hv vpn. Also as per customer's request different hardness range such as half-hard or full hard can be achieved.
Thickness range -
0.10 mm up to 3.00 mm
application -
various types of blades, surgical blades, knives, etc.
