Herbicides

SITCO offers its customers with Herbicides of different types and top quality. Herbicides or -killers are used for killing unwanted plants. Most of the time selective herbicides are used which selectively kill specific plants and leaves behind the other crops or plants unharmed. Also some herbicides are used for clearing waste grounds and industrial sites etc.; such herbicides are not selective.
Herbicides are used widely in agriculture. Based on the time of application they can be classified as pre-plant herbicides, pre-emergence herbicides and post-emergence herbicides. Herbicides can also be categorized on the basis of use, activity, mode of action, vegetation type and chemical family.
There are many alternatives to herbicides like crop spacing, cover crops, mulching, crop rotation, inter cropping etc. But nothing proves to be as effective as the  control using herbicides.
