Halogens constitute of elements like Chlorine, Bromine, and Iodine. Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) is a material classification used in cable jacketing in the wire and cable industry. The cable jacketing is composed of thermoplastic or thermoset compounds that emit very low smoke and halogens when exposed to high amounts of heat. Cable jacket is the protective cover outside the cable that prevents direct exposure to the cable.
