Owing to our vast experience in this domain, we are also engaged in supplying Gypsum Powder. Gypsum is chemically known as “calcium sulfate dihydrate,” gypsum contains calcium, sulfur bound to oxygen, and water. Gypsum is available in two forms, viz, mineral gypsum and by-product gypsum. The mineral gypsum is mined from land deposits. By-product gypsum is obtained as by-product from different chemical plants. And we are able to supply both forms of gypsum.
Gypsum plays a very important role in controlling the rate of hardening of the cement. Gypsum is added to control the “setting of cement”. If not added, the cement will set immediately after mixing of water leaving no time for concrete placing.
Gypsum is used as filler in papers, paints, nutrient in growing yeast, insecticides. It is used in the manufacturing of cement, Plaster of Paris, fire proof wall boards for building construction, etc.
Gypsum is also used in the agricultural process. Gypsum-treated soil has a lower bulk density compared with untreated soil. Calcium, which is supplied in gypsum, is essential to the biochemical mechanisms by which most plant nutrients are absorbed by roots. Gypsum improves water infiltration rates into soils and also the hydraulic conductivity of the soil. It is protection against excess water runoff from especially large storms that are accompanied with erosion. Use of gypsum can decrease wind and water erosion of soil.
We generally offer volumes of gypsum with the following specification.
