Gunmetal is an alloy of Copper ( 88%, Zinc 4-5%,Tin 8-10%)other elements may be added as per the specific requirements.
Gunmetal having properties like good casting and forging , low coefficient of friction(good sliding properties), good wear strength along with excellent corrosion resistance properties that's why having applications in castings,boiler or hydraulic fittings,glands, gear,bearing and in bush manufacturing.
