Gum Arabic

Gum Arabic (Acacia senegal), which is mostly found in the sub-Saharan region in Africa. This water-soluble gum finds application in the binding media of plants. Gum Arabic is widely used in soft & alcoholic beverages and confectionery. Moreover, it also finds application in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, lithographic and offset preparations across the country.
Gum arabic is a key ingredient in traditional lithography and is used in printing, paint production, glue, cosmetics and various industrial applications, including viscosity control in inks and in textile industries, although less expensive materials compete with it for many of these roles.
