Contact SupplierGuar Gum, also known as Gum cyamopsis or guar flour, is derived from the ground endosperm of the seed of the guar plant, Cyamopsis tetragonaloba (L) Taub. (syn. Cyamopsis psoraloides).
The guar seeds are dehusked, milled and screened to obtain the guar gum.It is typically produced as a free flowing, pale, off-white colored, coarse to fine ground powder. Guar gum is mainly consisting of the high molecular weight (approximately 50,000-8,000,000) polysaccharides composed of galactomannans and is obtained from the endosperm of the seed of the guar plant.
Guar Gum Powder is extracted from the Guar Seed after a multistage industrial process. The most important property of Guar Gum is its ability to hydrate rapidly in cold water to attain uniform and very high viscosity at relatively low concentrations. Its colloidal nature gives excellent thickening to the solution.
Guar Gum, either modified or unmodified is a very versatile and efficient natural polymer covering a number of applications in various industries like food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, paper, textile, construction, oil & gas well drilling, mining etc, due to its cost effective emulsifying and thickening properties.
Guar Gum is used as Natural thickener, Emulsifier, Stabilizer, Bonding agent, Hydrocolloid, Gelling agent, Natural Fiber, Fracturing agent.
