Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) is a high-quality by-product obtained during the production of iron in blast furnaces. It is a glassy, granular material formed when molten slag is rapidly quenched with water. Once cooled, this material is dried and ground into a fine powder with cementitious properties. 

Composition and Properties

GGBS consists mainly of calcium silicate and alumina silicates, making it a reactive material for

construction applications. Key characteristics include:
