Grid Coupling

Couplings are devices that are connected at their ends and are normally used to transmit power. They play a very critical role in maintaining the machinery configuration of the industries. They act as a point of connection between two rotating shafts thereby converting power into torque and imparting it to the gear reducer so that it is passed on to the machinery being driven. It reduces the channelization of shock loads between two shafts; thereby plying protection against overloads. When chosen properly, couplings can also be used to correct misalignment of the shafts that give mechanical flexibility.
