Mild steel Pipes contains 0.05–0.25% carbon making it malleable and ductile. It has a relatively low tensile strength and small percentage of carbon also known as low-carbon steel making it strong and tough. It is often used when large quantities of steel are needed, for example as structural steel. The density of mild steel is approximately 7.85 g/cm3 (7850 kg/m3 and the Young's modulus is 200 GPa (29,000,000 psi). Our Rectangular Mild Steel Pipes are available as seamless, welded and ERW (ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welded) pipes .
Rectangular Steel Pipes also known as “Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS)” are cold formed and welded from either hot rolled, cold rolled, pre-galvanized or stainless steel. In order to form the rectangular steel section the mother tube, a round steel tube, has to be formed first. Rectangular steel pipes can be supplied with black paint mill finish or with anti rust oil coating for surface protection of the pipes and are offered in both mechanical and structural grades or as per customer’s requirement. They are widely used for structural purposes, architectural work, special piping systems and many other general purpose fabrication works.
