Hydrez Sterile Hydrophilic Foam Dressing, Color : Grey

Product Description : Hydrophilic foam dressing is a sterile synthetic wound dressing, consisting of hydrophilic absorbent polyurethane foam laminated with a low friction water proof polyurethane film, which also acts as a bacterial barrier. Hydrez® is also offered as a choice with additional adhesive edges for effective anchorage of the dressing over the wound and high patient compliance.
Indication :

• Chronic wounds
• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Venous ulcers
• Arterial ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Highly exuding wounds
• Acute wounds
• Lacerations
• Abrasions
• Graft wounds and donor sites
• Post- operative surgical wounds
• Trauma wounds
• Superficial and partial thickness burns

Application Methodology :

• Debride when necessary and irrigate the wound site in accordance with standard protocols.
• Remove excess solution from surrounding and select a size of the foam dressing that is slightly larger than the wound.
• Apply Hydrez® in place with a suitable tape to ensure the dressing remains centrally locked.
• The foam dressing can remain in situ for up to 7 days dependent on patient condition and the level of exudates; initially it
• may be necessary to change the dressing whenever good wound care practice dictates that the dressing should be changed.
• Remove the dressing using gentle pressure and remove the dressing from the wound bed and discard.
• If required, cleanse the wound site prior to application of a new dressing.

Infected wounds : If the wound is infected, appropriate medical treatment should be initiated, or any other appropriate dressing as prescribed by the medical practitioner. Application of the Hydrez® may be continued at the discretion of the attending medical practitioner/clinician.
Precaution :

• Ensure Hydrez® is applied to the wound pink side up.
• Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to polyurethane films or foams.
• Does not use with oxidizing solutions such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide.
