Papaya Plant is one stemmed fruit plant that is known as “Pempe” in Bengali and scientific name of this plant is “Carica papaya”, which belongs from family of “Caricaceae”. Its fruit is called Papaya; papaya is green colored in ripe condition and yellowish or light green in ripe condition. Its flesh is light or dark yellowish in color and it has uncountable black or light brown colored seeds. Papaya is used as food and ingredients of cooking. It is a vitamin food and is a medicinal plant.

Papaya plant loves sunlight; it needs full of sun light for its well growth. It hates frost, for its growth it must be need frost free weather. This plant needs moist acidic soil in Summer season and drier time of Winter Season. But if soil is soft and watery, then it can be damaged this plant growth. So it needs well-drained soil for its well growth. Temperature ‘between 16°C to 24°C’ is preferable for this plant growth and maximum and minimum temperature is harmful for its growth. Papaya can’t tolerate cold weather, it must be protect from cold weather. It produces fruits in seasons of Spring and Summer; in this growing time it needs organic fertilizing regularly.
