• Indigenous to India, Nepal and Bhutan, it is the worlds third most expensive spice by weight after saffron and vanilla.
• There are two varieties, green and black cardamom, which come in pods about the size of a cranberry encasing 17 to 20 black seeds. Cardamom has a unique taste with an intensely aromatic, resinous fragrance.
