All of them are based on tried and trusted optical design which are optimized for maximum performance in the spectral range from 200 nm to 1100 nm, a range which can be analyzed using silicon based CCD-line detectors. The SGM100 uses a crossed Czerny-Turner design with optical traps which produces the least stray light and maximum optical resolution.
