This Project area forms part of Archaean Western Dharwar Craton in the State of Karnataka. Deccan Exploration Services Private Limited (DESPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deccan Gold Mines Limited (DGML), explored an area of 5000 sq km of the Dharwar-Shimoga Greenstone belt covered under 2 RP blocks and identified 22 gold prospects.
