Specification : It is Demountable Type Extensometer used for measuring strains in Structural Components. it can be used with specimens of Thickness or Diameter 3mm To 25 mm. Gauge Length is also Variable in Steps on 10 mm From 30 mm to 120 mm. it used two Dial Gauge to Measure Strains. Both the Gauge are read simultaneously and there average is taken as the Strain of the Sample Under Test. Gauge Length Bars are three pairs in number the first one is for 30 mm to 60 mm, Second one is for 30 mm To 100 mm, and third is for 30 mm to 120 mm. the lower Knife Edge Point is Spring Loaded while a clamp has been provided for the upper knife edge contacts and can be used if and when required.
