Botanical Name: Botanically, the world knows it in the name of Pelargonium roseum.
Origin: The Pelargonium roseum plant is believed to be indigenous to India.
Form: The Rose Geranium oil has watery viscosity.
Scent: The Rose Geranium oil gives out a sweet and rose-like smell with a hint of mint!
Shade and Appearance: The Rose Geranium oil is mostly colorless, but may appear slightly Green as well.
Chemical constituents: The Rose Geranium oil comprises of chief chemical constituents such as Geranyl-Acetate, Geranyl-Butyrate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Menthone, Myrcene and α-Pinene.
Extraction method: The leaves and stalks of Pelargonium roseum are steam distilled to obtain Rose Geranium essential oil.
Blends well with: The Rose Geranium oil does go very well with Angelica, Basil, Bergamot, Carrot Seed, Cedar wood, Citronella, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Lavender, Lime, Neroli, Orange and Rosemary oils.
