  • zero air purification : moisture, oil, dust & other hydrocarbons are to be prevented from entering inside the g.c., for this hydrocarbon trap containing activated charcoal is used (this reduces oil & hydrocarbon impurities to less than 2ppm). To prevent moisture from entering the g.c. Moisture trap is installed which contains molecular sieve & silica.
  • nitrogen purification : apart from moisture being the usual enemy for which moisture trap containing molecular sieve & silica gel is installed, oxygen here emerges to be a bigger threat as it can cause serious oxidation & irreparable damages to columns & detectors if it enters the carrier gas. To remove it oxygen trap is used which contains special de-oxygen catalyst which reduces oxygen content to less than 2ppm.
  • hydrogen purification : moisture trap containing molecular sieve & silica gel is installed (this reduces moisture to less than 3ppm) along with hydrocarbon trap contains activated charcoal.
  • helium purification : oxygen trap is installed which contains special de-oxygen catalyst which reduces oxygen content to less than 2ppm level. Moisture trap containing molecular sieve & silica gel.
  • micron s.s filter for dust filtration : dust or particle matter is virtually everywhere in the environment. Particulate impurities can also enter inside the gas due to chipping of inside walls of the cylinders during transportation, handling and installation. These impurities can pass through tubing and other traps used in air, hydrogen, nitrogen and helium purification. For this a micron s.s filter with special long life s.s sieves is used which can trap the dust as small as 3-5 microns.
