The top main girder is balanced between the two a shaped column resting on the wheel mounted end carriage. Gantry cranes are available in both single girder and double girder as per the customer’s requirement.
main girder: the girders of the crane are designed keeping in the mind consideration of the class, frequency of operation and duty cycle. Different girders that can be installed are of plate box type or truss type for single girder with its bottom flange as path for trolley of hoist. Double girder design is also available for heavy duty applications. The tracks are laid on the top of girders for travel of crab wheels of material handling gantry cranes.
