Ground coat enamel frits are bluish black to jet black in colour, but people prefer to eat out of white or coloured utensils, so a white cover coat enamel is usually applied to the ground coat enamel, to make the finish more attractive. In the case of sign boards, a white background with red or green lettering makes the signs easier to read, though some people prefer a blue background with white lettering. Our titanium opacified white cover coat frit has high gloss and coverage. Usually, a 2nd cover coat is not required, to obtains a smooth, glossy white surface. In effect, this reduces the usage cost of our frit by 30-50% as compared to white frits of other frit manufacturers!
