Furnaces generally have coils constructed from heavy copper tubing. Furance Transformers are special & sophisticated Transformers designed and tuned to the inverter circuit which applies a medium frequency (generally 500 Hz or 1000 Hz) voltage to the Induction coil. The charge ( Load) is heated by eddy currents induced by magnetic fields of the induction coils. Since the quality, volume and content of the charge is not always uniform the design has to be that much more robust and flexible. Medium frequency is necessary to enhance the rate of heat generation. The inverter circuit requires a D.C. Voltage for its operation, which is obtained by converting available three phase A.C.Voltage. our units have been serving customers well in STEEL PLANTS all over the world. For such specific and peculiar application, special transformers are designed and supplied. These are essentially Rectifier / Converter Duty Transformers. We supply transformers for different types of furnaces such as Arc Furnaces, Ladle Furnace, Induction Furnace etc.

ALIENT FEATURES
Transformers are designed for induction furnace, arc furnace, & submerged arc furnace application.
Magnetic circuit- lamination CRGO M3 to M5 type.
Electric circuit-electrolytic grade 99.9% pure copper with transposition in LV coil for current sharing in parallel conductors.
Dielectric circuits-electric grade press paper, boards and mineral oil.
Thermal circuit-adequate cooling ducts are provided radially and axially for the smooth flow of oil internally radiators cooling banks are provided for natural cooling ONAN and additional banks for ONAF cooling High current transformers are provided with OFW coolings.
Both HV & LV side outdoor bushings or cable boxes.
Painting as IS/IEC standards.
Vector group DYN11, YND11, DD0Y11.
Class A, uniform/non-uniform insulated.
On- load tap changer to provide +5% to – 15% taps in steps of 1.25%.
Of-circuit tap changer to provide +5% to = 7.5% and +5% to – 10% taps in steps of 2.5%.
Standard fittings as per IS / IEC standard df.
Neutral current transformer.
