Fuel Filters

Internal combustion engine requires both fuel & air to form the explosive mixture, mixture, which gives the engine its power. Fuel system of any engine is very sensitive to foreign matter. This is due to the extremely small passages, which meter the fuel in, the carburetor in petrol engine. The diesel engine fuel injection system is even more sensitive to any foreign matter. The fuel tank accumulates dust, dirt and other foreign particles in a normal operation. These particles clog fuel passages. Moisture accumulates in the fuel tank due to temperature changes and caused rust and ascle to form. The presence of foreign particles and moisture affects the performance of an engine and also lead to expensive repair bills. The need to prevent foreign matter and moisture from entering carburetor fuel injection system has resulted in development of fuel filters in the modern engine.
