The merchant's son sails off in his boat ..) Bao dhaan is cultivated in deep water ,it has a reddish tinge . It's iron content is very high . It's cultivated in a total organic way .

This variety of rice is generally grown in fields having higher land submergence that are unsuitable for other paddy varieties .Unlike other rice varieties ,the most interesting characteristic of Bao dhan is that it's seeds don't fall of easily .Anthocyanin pigments gives it a reddish colour . They are rich in iron , zinc ,Vitamin A ,and antioxidants . Organic cultivation ensures a better health ,prevention of cardiovascular disease and boosts the immune system .
