Therefore their shields were painted in boldly contrasting colours, we are here offering one which has a display of 9 fleur-de-lis, obviously of French origin. We are offering a reenactors' copy of such a shield made from steel, reinforced in the centre and with a wooden grip attached by 2 screws.
