Food grade phosphoric acid has a tangy taste and is used to acidify food products like colas. It can also be used to make phosphates used in a variety of food products, like cheese, bakery products, yeast, jams, jellies and refined sugar.
Aditya Birla Chemicals uses the thermal process for producing phosphoric acid (as opposed to the wet process). This gives better purity in the end product, and also ensures that the amount of heavy metal contamination by elements like Arsenic is much lower in comparison.
