Flame arrester protect storage, distribution and chemical process facilities containing flammable gases and liquids from fire and explosions. It is an effective device which isolates source of ignition and allows vapor to flow freely in venting and colletion system.

	The most effective method of quenching flame is to install Pre'con flame arrester either at the strategic point along with pipe work system or at end of the pipe line where gas / vapor are being vented into atmosphere.

	Flame Arrester are designed to give maximum air flow consistent with operating effeciency, fire protection and low maintenance cost. Flame arrester operates on the principal; removing of heat from the flame, as it attempts to travel through narrow passage with wall of metal or other heat conductive materials for instance PRE'CON Flame arrester employ layers of metal ribbons with crimped corrugations as shown below :

	The above construction produces a matrix of uniform opening which are carefully constructed to quench flame by absorbing the heat of the flame. This provides an extinguishing barrier to the ignited vapor mixture.
