Heat Strengthened glass follows almost the same process as tempered glass, except that the annealed glass is heated to a slightly lower temperature of 620°C and the volume and pressure of cooling process is less rapid.

 
Benefits The break pattern is large and the fragments tend to remain in the glazing. It is less prone to spontaneous breakage and provides better optics.
Applications Spandrel and vision panels of curtain wall glass.
