Generic Arimidex (Anazole Tablets) is an aromatase inhibitor which is used for adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer. First-line treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women with disease progression following Tamoxifen therapy.
How to Use Generic Arimidex (Anazole Tablets)
Take Anazole by Alpha-Pharma (Generic Arimidex) exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Keep taking Anazole (Anastrozole 1 mg) for as long as your doctor prescribes it for you.
Take one tablet each day with or without food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Take your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.
Anastrozole Overdosage
During clinical trials dosages up to 60 mg in a single dose given to healthy male volunteers and up to 10 mg daily given to postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer; these dosages were tolerated.
Anastrozole Side effects
Anastrozole side effects are listed below. Get medical help immediately in case you have any allergic reactions including skin lesions, ulcers, blisters, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Anazole by Alpha-Pharma (Anastrozole 1 mg) can cause serious side effects including increased blood cholesterol (fat in the blood).
Anastrozole (Anazole 1 mg) can cause inflammation of the liver and changes in blood tests of the liver function. Your doctor may monitor you for this. Stop taking Anastrozole 1 mg tablets and call your doctor right away if you have any of these signs or symptoms of a liver problem.
