Ezetimibe–Simvastatin is used to reduce total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides, as well as increase HDL (good) cholesterol. It is a combination of two cholesterol-lowering medications, Ezetimibe and Simvastatin, which block the production of cholesterol in the body. This medication is usually prescribed in cases where cholesterol levels could not be lowered by diet and exercise. Lowering LDL and raising HDL cholesterol levels may reduce the risk of heart attacks, stroke, and circulation problems.
