Polymyxin-B :

• Increases the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane

• Broad-spectrum antibiotic originally isolated from
• streptomyces venezuelae
• Bacteriostatic and acts by inhibition of protein synthesis
• Faster penetration through corneal barriers greater patient
• compliance in terms of both the dosage and convenience

In :

• Surface ocular infections involving the conjunctiva and/or cornea
• Superficial bacterial infections of the external auditory canal
• Mastoidectomy and fenestration cavities

Composition : Each Gram Contain :

• Polymyxin-B Sulphate B.P -10000units
• Chloramphenicol I.P - 10mg.
• Sterilzed Ointment Base - Q.S.
