Extruded Nylon

Extruded Nylon has a consistent history of replacing materials like: metal, brass, bronze, aluminium and rubber. In replacing metal gears in machinery, extruded nylon can be advantageous because of its ability to reduce noise, use less lubrication and increase gear life. It can also be fabricated on most mills with high precision.
NDYLON extruded nylon type 66 is characterized as having an excellent combination of physical properties including: high melting point, resistance to repeated impact and abrasion, and , low- coefficient of friction. It has good resistance to fuels, lubricants and most chemicals, but is attacked by phenols, strong acids and oxidizing agents.
