Contact SupplierThe EGR system is designed to reduce the amount of oxides of nitrogen(Nox) created by the engine during operating periods that usually results in high combustion temperatures, NOx is formed in high concentrations whenever combustion temperature exceed about 2500˚F.
The EGR system reduces NOx production by recirculation small amount of exhaust gases into the intake manifold where it mixes with the incoming air. By diluting the air mixture under these conditions, peak combustion temperature and pressure are reduced, resulting in an overall reduction of NOx output. Provision is been made to change the percentage of EGR.
