Contact SupplierIt received the name palmarosa from the sweet-smelling floral rose aroma it gives off. Also known as Indian geranium or Turkish geranium oil, it is distilled from the leaves and flowers of the grass. It has been distilled since the eighteenth century, especially in Turkey, to simulate or adulterate Turkish rose oil (which is very expensive). The two types of palmarosa from which the essential oil is obtained are sofia and motia, and they vary slightly in their scent. A pale yellow liquid is obtained from this grass by the process of steam distillation. Renowned for its floral, sweet and fresh odor, palmarosa oil has a refreshing effect.

ΓΆ€ΒΆ It moisturizes the skin, besides balancing the hydration levels and stimulating cell regeneration clearing up minor infections prevents ugly scarring in healing wounds.
