The manufacturing of ERW tubes is carried out on sophisticated tube mills, where the raw material i.e. SS Strips, sourced from only the world-renowned sources is fed. The strips are welded into tubes/ pipes using TIG/ Plasma/ Laser welding. Under this process, the edges of the strip are heated and fused together in a protective atmosphere of Argon gas using a non-consumable electrode without the addition of any filler material.
After cutting to size, and depending on the customer requirements, the tubes are then solution-annealed, straightened, cut to final size, pickled, passivated and polished before it is subjected to various tests, marked and released for dispatch.
When tubes are made on fully automatic tube mills, the product is bright annealed, subjected to NDT, size checked, polished if required and stencil marked on line itself.
