USES:ENCURE 0.5MG contains Entecavir which belong to anti-viral medicines. It is used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus infection in adults whose has compensated liver disease in which liver is damaged but still functions properly and in people having decompensated liver disease where the liver is damaged and does not function properly. It reduces the amount of Hepatitis B virus in your body and helps in preventing liver damage. It should not be used for children below 2 years of age or weighing less than 10 kg.
