Contact SupplierEnamel frits are quenched, specially formulated glassy ceramics, used for ceramics coatings on sheet steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and jewelry metals. These are used in manufacture of cook and serve utensils, eating and drinking utensils, kitchen appliances, decorative work on copper, silver and gold, outdoor signboards on steel or aluminum bases, and protective coatings on water tanks, grain silos, jet engine exhausts, coal chutes and thread guides for textile machinery.
to bond the ceramic to the base metal (steel, cast iron, aluminium, or copper) a ground or base coat enamel is required, but gold and silver do not need the ground coat.
a white cover coat is usually applied over the ground coat. For coloured finishes, a transparent enamel, mixed with high temperature pigments, is applied.
as an iso:9001-2008 company, we provide ground and cover coat frits of the highest quality.
