Ultracrete MR-W is supplied as a pale amber liquid which turns white diluted with water to produce a chemical release agent, combining the outstanding release properties of such materials with the economy of conventional oil. It reacts with the alkali in the concrete to form a thin water repellent skin on the surface of the mould which enables easy stripping from the hardened concrete.

Application Instructions

• Check whether mould surfaces are really clean before re-use?
• Is a fresh coat of Ultracrete MR-W appliced before each re-use?
• Has the Ultracrete MR-W been diluted exactly 1:6 with water by volume?
• Check whether the coverage rate is the highest and film thickness the lowest possible?
• Is the coat really dry before placing the concrete?
• Is the de-moulding time 24 hours or more?

Properties

• Dilution rate – 1 part Ultracrete MR-W to be diluted with 6 parts clear water (by volume)
• Formwork surfaces – May be used on wooden or metal surfaces.
• Non-staining – Can be used safely with white cement
• Specific Gravity – 0.96 at 25^oC.

Coverage

• 1 litre of Ultracrete MR-W when diluted with 6 litres of water will cover 80 to 180m2 depending upon the nature of the substrate.
• Unsealed timber or plywood – 80 to 115 m2/7 litres of solution.

Packing

• Ultracrete MR-W is available in 20 ltr and 100 ltr containers.

Shelf Life

• Ultracrete MR-W has a shelf life of 24 months provided the temperature is kept in the range of 5^oC-40^oC.

Health and Safety Instructions
Gloves should be worn when handling Ultracrete MR-W Splashes on skin should be removed with soap and water. Contact with eyes should be avoided and accidental contamination should be washed with plenty of water and medical treatment sought immediately. If swallowed, obtain immediate aid. Do not induce. Ensure good ventilation.
