An octagonal blender is a slow tumbling machine especially designed to perform mixing and lubrication of dry powders and granules for tablets and capsules formulations. It can be use for pharmaceutical, food, chemical, cosmetics and other industries. Basic machine consists of a blender container which is supported both ends by stub shafts which are supported on plumber block bearings. Entire assembly is placed on a structure which has driven unit consisting of electric motor, gearbox, chain coupling and in case of heavy loads fluid couplings.
The advantage of this octagonal shape blender is slow tumbling action, which while rotating does not degrade the particle structure. The special design is also suitable for dust-free operations as it can be used with attachment of dedicated bin charging and discharging systems. The ideal fill level of octagonal blender is two third of the total volume of the cylinder. All contact parts are made in stainless steel grade SS 304 or SS 316 materials,.
