Contact SupplierEthylene diamine tetra acetic acid salt or EDTA salt is an amino-poly carboxylic acid. EDTA is a colourless to whitish powder that is readily water-soluble. EDTA salt is widely used for dissolving lime scale deposits or as a chelating agent that is its ability to "sequester" the metal ions such as Calcium (Ca) and Ferric (Fe).
EDTA falls into this category of chelant. Chelants, or chelating agents, can be used in agriculture, cleaners and detergents, food processing, pulp and paper manufacturing, textiles manufacturingdyeing and water treatment. Salts of EDTA are typically available as an aqueous solution for controlling binding metal ions over a broad pH range in aqueous (water-based) systems.
