We offer drop pit table. Currently the diesel electric locomotives (engines ) have replaced almost 90% of the steam engines worldwide. This happened long ago in the advanced countries and in india also great strides have been made in modernizing the railways.
All the broad gauge locos have six axles each-three in the front and three in the rear section. Depending upon the hauling power required, traction motors with gearing are provided. These are mounted on the axle below the loco under-carriage. Minimum is two traction motors and maximum six. Typical loco shown below:
for maintenance of the traction motor, a single axle set assembly needs to be removed from the loco, sent to repair shop and refitted in position after conditioning. The modern method of removing the axle set is through the drop pit table that is safer than any other method. There are more than 800 dpts working world wide and supplied by foreign suppliers.
