is efficient for mixing dry powder and granulates homogeneously. Generally 33-45 % of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The shape of blender body results in a near complete discharge of product material, clearly an added advantage over horizontal blender.

The double cone blender consists of two cone shaped sections typically with 45 Degree slopes. Two cone sections are welded at their ends with centre band. The blender tumbles and material in that spreads out. The transition area at the band between prevents the material from sliding along the inner wall and instead causes the material to fold over itself. This provides gentle mixing with only very slight shear.
