Disodium Hydrogen Citrate Syrup

Alkasol the Safe Citrate since 6 decades. Disodium Hydrogen Citrate after metabolism produces Sodium Bicarbonate in blood and produces free Bicarbonate ions (HCO3-). This Bicarbonate helps to restore blood pH at 7.42; excess Bicarbonate ions produced in blood also passes through urine and makes urine alkaline. Thus Alkasol alkalinize the urine and helps to flush the urinary tract and enhances activity of fluoro quinolones antibiotics in alkaline pH.
Alkasol inhibits the stone formations and helps to pass away the stone. To dissolve both Calcium Stone and uric acid stone there is a requirement of 60-70 meq. Of Bicarbonate ion per day. This Bicarbonate ion increases the excretion of citrate through urine resulting dissolution of kidney stone.
