Molex's 716 DIN connectors cover a broad spectrum of low-loss, high-power requirements. Designs exist for a wide range of cables, including corrugated styles. Silver or tri-metal (Copper, Tin and Zinc) plating is used for low Inter-modulation Distortion (IMD). Molex tri-metal plating is tarnish resistant and durable. Tri-metal plating provides abrasion resistance comparable to nickel with far better electrical performance. Tri-metal plating alloys are non-magnetic which is critical for low IMD.
